Thrown with Buff clay using the closed-form technique, the inside glazed in oat, while the external body has a black finish. This is the first series of The Apple project. The black finish was used to intentionally subdue the piece, allowing the form to exist quietly rather than demand attention. It reflects how, in life, we are often drawn to what is immediately striking, and in doing so, may overlook what holds deeper meaning beneath the surface.
